It's almost back to school time in St. Augustine, and that means lengthy school supply lists and back to school shopping. If you have more than one school-aged child purchasing school supplies can be quite an expense, and this year the prices are even higher than usual. One way to help chip away at the school supply list is to attend some of the back-to-school events in St. Augustine, as these often come with free school supply give aways.
St. Johns County Back To School Events 2022:
SEA Community Center & We Feed, Inc. Back To School Bash
When: Friday, July 22, 2022
What: Bouncy houses, live performances, free ice cream, free hot meals, free family packs, free backpacks and more.
Time: 9 am - 12 pm

Back To School Staples Kidz Fest and Family Celebration
When: Saturday, July 30th, 2022
What: FREE backpack and school supply giveaways, free hair cuts and fun activities for the family. Please register your kids beforehand to ensure they will get a backpack.

Webster Back-To-School Block Party

What: Free event open to the community. Free school supplies, free physicals and more outside the school, info from community partners.
Free hot breakfast inside the school from 10 am - noon hosted by Victorius Covenant.

Don't forget that back to school shopping is tax free in Florida from July 25th to August 7th.
That goes for consignment shopping as well. When you clean out your closets, bring your gently-used kids clothes to the new Around We Go children's consignment store in St. Augustine at 900 Anastasia Blvd. by the lighthouse and shop for back to school too.
